So send them to the Senate 45 days before the election.
Sending them to the Senate now holds zero value, aside from giving Trump a victory. There’s no chance the Senate will vote to remove.
So you make a publicity stunt out of their open disdain for fairness. And you continue to investigate Trump, using the judicial arm to oppose his use of executive privilege, and hopefully compel witnesses and documents forward to further the case against him.
In any regard, an acquittal in the Senate — which is all but a guarantee right now — would allow Trump to claim that he WAS totally innocent, and that it was a witch hunt.
If we can’t get a fair trial, we should not let this exit the public eye in a cloud of lawlessness.
